So, the American elections just happened this week. My thoughts and emotions feel like the snow flurries that have been taunting me through my kitchen windows for days now. I’m not even American and I fear for what is to come.
Historically, scribes and the teachers were first to go. The truth of life has so often been dangerously controlled by those with evil lurking in their nature. Schemes of exclusion, fabrication and erasure, are the weaponised ways used by deviants with insatiable desires to harm humanity.
Why am I starting TapHistoryTeach Shirts? I needed something creative and meaningful to enhance my social work days. I want my everyday stories and experiences to shed light for some and build a sense of solidarity for others. I want to contribute to collective change. I want lessons to be gleaned from each story thread that is woven into the fabric of life today. Shining the light of truth into the darkness, (Ida B Wells), I believe, will lead us to a humanistic future where everybody can cherish the beauty of the rich TapHistory of life.
